We live in a digital age where people respond to creative and engaging online story-telling;
But the story has to resonate – it has to deliver results which convert into tangible growth.
So if results mean action and action leads to growth, yet your digital campaigns are not performing as they should, then perhaps it’s time to take action.
Peggy said to us, “You know what fellas, people spout rubbish about bold ideas and brave thinking every day of the week. What they forget is clients aren’t stupid. If it’s not worth watching, why make it? Remember that!” So we did, and we do.
Whether it’s narrative, scripted or unscripted, films should be designed to interest, amuse, instruct, educate or create discussion.
Pretzel are pioneers in developing young talent, this is seen across Content, TV and Peggy.
Every year since Pretzel first opened its doors in 2005 we have taken one new director on as a full time employee within the company. This apprenticeship nurtures and mentors their directorial talent, culminating in commercial work with agencies and award-winning corporate films.
Our mission is to give talent a start, guidance and inspiration. And the chance to make short-form video projects full time. It gives our academy trainees a unique insight into the full workings of a commercial production company and everything that goes with being a working director. We strongly support a young apprenticeship scheme and believe the future of our company is in the hands of the talent we hire, fully supported by the experience of our producers and those directors who have been through the academy themselves.

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” Albert Einstein
Albert, which was developed at the BBC, is the UK television industry’s carbon calculator. By using Albert at the start of the production process to predict the expected carbon footprint, we can highlight opportunities for improvement and take steps throughout to lower our actual carbon footprint – thereby reducing the impact on the environment. The use of Albert is mandatory for BBC Television and BBC Children’s productions.
